Nurseries

The Nurseries have aligned itself with the Seedling Growers’ Association of South Africa (SGASA).

SGASA’s accreditation aims to:

  1. promote good nursery practices
  2. ensure legislative requirements are met
  3. recognise nurseries that are excelling in our industry

SAMAC recommends buying from SGASA-accredited nurseries, but recognises that all nurseries cannot be audited at once and some first-audits are scheduled accordingly.  SAMAC does not accept any responsibility for nursery trees and it is the responsibility of the grower/purchaser to inspect the trees prior to ordering and again at delivery.
